Just submitted to Shift Boston competition

First competition submission: EdgeWise Boston, Dorchester Flats Waterfront Park. Concept is to re-configure the 4 mile waterfront along South Boston Waterfront in anticipation of changing sea levels in a way that supports the emergence of a thriving marine ecosystem, links up and adds to existing cultural pockets, and to expand the range of urban experiences.

Not thrilled w/ layout. Drawings a bit too tight. But plenty of fun to dream of new world. It was liberating to come to this project without really knowing the city. Knowing too much about the site held up thesis project - wanting everything to have a place.View towards 'The Common' - a cultural, ecological and transit nexus

Grasshopper tutorial of the day - box morphing

Followed tutorials 1,2 & 3 for box morphing. http://rhinotoday.com/2009/01/grasshopper-tutorial-box-morphing-by-baldino/
demonstrates how to insert any given shape within a box (defined by its eight, re-positionable corners), distort that box and thus the shape, and then how to create an array of boxes across a surface, within which each box contains the original, distorted shape.
